If you have been to Tenerife and you have never visited the National Park “Teide”, it is really worth it.
Especially in May, with lots of flowers, nice colours, nice smells, it makes the experience even better. Almost like the expression says: “All roads lead to Rome”, when you look up to Teide, in Tenerife the roads lead to Teide.
The journey takes approximately one hour to get to the National Park, and if you decide to continue almost to the summit, there is a cable car.
On the road to Teide you pass through a very nice nature; with a lots of trees, plants, and some small villages too.
In the month of May you can find a lots of fragrant flowers. On this image you can find the Retama flower.
Doesn’t this church look like a Harry Potter’s house? 🙂
If you would like to stay over night, there is a mountain hotel, called “Parador de Cañadas del Teide“, offering accommodation 365 days a year.
Do you know this typical plant called “Tajinaste”?
And it is a perfect place to take nice pictures as well. Did I convince you now to visit the National Park?
