Behind it, you can see volcano Chinyero. At this place, in 1909 the last registered eruption in Tenerife took place. πŸŒ‹ Now it’s a very nice place for walking in the nature πŸ˜…Β

  1. Too hot for walking. Better to take a plane and enjoy the overview πŸ˜‰
    I am surprised though that this volcanic pimple erupted a whopping 7.700 ft below his fellow brother El Teide himself.
    I guess it scared the shit out of the locals 110 years ago. Must be the reason why they built the Garachico swimming pools: to freshen up after an eruption πŸ™‚
    On the other hand, now you know where to go when El Chinyero starts to burp: el Roque de Garachico! Must be a hell of a view.

      Unfortunately I can’t recall the reaction of the local people on the eruption, but I could ask around if someone reminds something πŸ˜€

      And in the case of the next eruption? To take the Piper and just fly away πŸ˜€
