Good things take time

Yes. Good things take time…

Since 2007 I was flying around the Canary Islands, but it took me almost 16 years to manage to visit the smallest islands situated northwest of Lanzarote: Isla de Alegranza and Isla de Montaña Clara. Yes, it took a lot of time…

These are some perks of this job. The diameter of the crater at Alegranza is 1.1kms. And is the biggest (=widest) crater of the Archipiélago.

In the past these islands could have been visited by boat, unfortunately it’s not allowed anymore.

More information about these islands can be found on wikipedia:

Now simply enjoy the beauty… Safe flights!

Today’s office views

September started with pretty good views; almost blue skies and good visibility.

Here comes one shot from today’s flight around La Gomera with Tenerife’s Teide in the background.

Quite impressive today, when 5 islands could have been seen: Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro and on our way back Gran Canaria as well.

By the way. This is the post number 100 on my blog :-D.

Safe flying!

El Volcán de Cumbre Vieja, La Palma

First time that I was able to fly over the volcano at La Palma after a long time. 🌋

Even if the volcano is not active anymore, it still looks pretty hot.

Difficult to find the words to describe this… 🙏🏻🙏🏻😁

Something we really don’t see every day. Let’s hope it’ll sleep again for a long long time…

El Volcán de Cumbre Vieja, La Palma

In the right place at the right time…

Yes. When you are in the right place at the right time… Even if you pass along the same place 2 or 3 times, the view will never be the same.

Once you’ll find clear blue skies, the other time a bunch of clouds…

Evening the sun illuminates the countryside on a different way and so was it in this case.

When just passing ‘around the corner’ above the most westerly situated point of the island called ‘Punta de Teno’ I was lucky enough to capture and immortalize this moment with my iPhone…

A bit of editing and voilà… Now I can share it with the whole world, instead of trying to explain by words what I’ve seen on that particular moment… One image is worth a thousand words, isn’t it?😍😍😅🙏🏻

Aerial view of Punta de Teno

My best aerial shot (ever)

Looks like this is the best image I’ve ever made…

More than 1.050 shares in 4 days on Facebook, and still sharing… 😀 The strange thing is even when you don’t expect the image is going to be liked, and the audience loves it!

I didn’t get any richer with this, but it’s simply nice that the image had such a huge success 😀

So, I think this would be the best shot ever taken by myself, at least it’s what the audience thinks 😉
